About our Lab

The Marignani Discovery Research Laboratory’s vision is to develop and apply innovative strategies that will improve our understanding of diseases at the molecular level. By creating precision health pipelines that apply iterative feedback processes, our discoveries will be effectively translated from the laboratory to clinics, for improving human health.

Our research is focused on tumour suppressors and oncogenes, two large families of proteins that function to maintain balance between cell growth, differentiation, metabolism and cell death. Our goal is to identify and understand how the loss or gain of function leads to disease. By combining innovative technologies and machine learning strategies, we are able to interrogate disease processes from multiple vantage points along precision medicine discovery pipelines.
