Dr. Paola Marignani


Dr. Paola Marignani is a Full Professor at Dalhousie University in the Faculty of Medicine, Dept. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with Cross-Appointment in the Dept of Pathology.  She conducted postdoctoral training at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute and the Ontario Cancer Institute, Toronto, Ontario and at Harvard Medical School in the Division of Signal Transduction.

Dr. Marignani is the Founder of Canadian Women in STEM that is focused on building a national strategy for equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada. CDNWomenSTEM is networked with 2000 self-identified scientists for across the STEM spectrum. CDNWomenSTEM supports the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) #DimensionsEDI initiative that was ratified in 2019.  #CDNWomenSTEM #leadbylifting #EDI #sciencesaves

In 2021, Dr. Marignani joined Creative Destruction Lab as a Mentor Scientist.
