Dr. Paola Marignani (Marignani Discovery Research Lab) has been selected to receive $50,000 in funding through Invest Nova Scotia’s Early Stage Commercialization Fund (ESCF) — the program’s maximum award amount. The ESCF supports the development of innovative research with strong commercial potential, helping early-stage companies transform discoveries into market-ready technologies.

The funding will enable our lab to advance its biomarker discovery and precision medicine initiatives, bridging the gap between academic research and clinical application, particularly in the area of early-stage lung cancer detection. This milestone represents an important step in the our lab’s efforts to validate key technologies and explore new partnerships in the life sciences sector.
